Privacy Policy
Wink Coffee LLC ("Wink Coffee," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website winkcoffee.com and the Wink Coffee mobile application (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information — name, email address, and (if you choose) a username and password when you create an account on our website or in our mobile app.
- Order and billing information — shipping address, billing address, telephone number, and payment details when you purchase products. Payment card numbers are handled by our payment processor (Shopify Payments / Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.
- Communications — any information you include when you contact us (for example, through our contact form, email, or customer-support channels).
- Wholesale / partnership information — business name, role, and related details if you apply to our wholesale program.
- Reviews and user-generated content — product reviews, ratings, and any other content you voluntarily submit.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, features used, session duration, and crash logs.
- Mobile app data — app version, device identifiers (e.g., IDFV on iOS), approximate location (derived from IP only — we do not request precise GPS), and in-app activity such as screens viewed and actions taken.
- Cookies and similar technologies — we use first-party cookies for authentication and cart persistence. We also use third-party analytics and advertising technologies, specifically Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate website traffic and page performance, and the Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram) to measure advertising performance and power retargeting and lookalike audiences.
1.3 Information From Third Parties
- Payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe) send us confirmation of successful purchases and limited billing metadata (e.g., the last four digits of a card, issuing country).
- Advertising partners (Meta / Facebook) may provide aggregated campaign and conversion metrics.
- Sign-in providers (if you sign in through Apple, Google, or similar) send us the basic identifiers you authorize them to share.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping, returns, and customer support.
- Create and manage your Wink Coffee account and the in-app farming experience, including saving progress and preferences locally and on our servers.
- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications, password resets).
- Send marketing emails, but only to customers who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every marketing email.
- Measure and improve our website and app (analytics, crash reports, feature usage).
- Serve and measure advertising on Meta (Facebook / Instagram) and other ad platforms, including retargeting, lookalike audiences, and campaign conversion reporting.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, law-enforcement requests, court orders).
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to fulfill your orders), legitimate interests (to operate and improve the Services, prevent fraud, and market to existing customers in a limited way), consent (where you opt in, such as for marketing emails or analytics cookies), and legal obligation (tax, consumer protection, and responding to lawful requests).
